I'm curious to know, as to help my ability to write AR stories, what it is that makes you like AR?
For me a key factor is being a strong independant woman, all of the stories i've written so far have that element, and once that independance is taken away, the effect that has on that woman, whether she accepts her fate or struggles agains it only to be defeated later. I don't know why that works for me, I guess I implant myself into my stories. A sort of hardnut, who doesnt display emotion for fear of looking weak, only to (once regressed) realise that its the caring tender nature of being nurtured that she's longed for from the outset.

Has anyone analysed themselves enough to wonder why they like AR? For me i'm actually an AB and I love the feelings of trusting someone else completely to provide for me, to be at their mercy but for them to be kind enough to look after me. To let go of all that stress of adult life and to just simply drift off into infantile bliss

Wow that's abit negative some people on this sight are jerks and they lower peoples Karma for no reason

I'm noticed the karma thing, happens on any forums with such a system, it gets misused a lot.

Anyway on topic, I guess I like the concept of AR, the idea of being returned to innocence, maybe having a second chance or being young again for a short while and using it for relaxation and a break away from the adult life.

I write female characters a lot better than I do male characters, I tend to have problems with writing male characters since I'm unable to think in a male way, which tends to ruin what I write.
As a more recent story I posted shows, I'm just no good with male characters.

I can't stand the kind of X rated, sexual concept done by many when it comes to AR, it makes it tacky.
Yet many do it, makes me wonder if such need a good cold shower with aded ice cubes.

I must admit I have steered clear of male AR for the time being, simply because i'm not male and whilst theres not that many differences I want to work hard on what I know first and get a good _base_ down for how I write before I really expand.

I do intend to explore that area though. I sort of touch on it in my exchange story having regressed one adult male into an 8 year old girl at one point. And another adult male into a 4 year old boy I found that really tricky to write, but enjoyable for the challenge.

I'm not keen on the sexual side of AR myself, but I understand that everyone into the kink is into it for different reasons, and its important I think, that people are respectful of other peoples variations of the theme, although I do tend to skip the stories that are flagged as X rated.

Thats mainly why I was asking this question in the first place to figure out what made other AR lovers tick. Hehehe

I have to say that I enjoy it because its all about returning to a safer and simpler time in life. Plus I am an AB IRl, so I have that urge to return to that time. I have many fond memories of my toddlerhood and childhood that I would love to relive. However, it has to be male AR, since I am male. I want to be able to put myself in the story when I read it, and I can only do that if the main character is male.

I also enjoy the process of becoming younger. The di_script_ions of how the person shrinks and changes physically to become more babyish in appearance as well as behavior. Having to wear diapers, having accidents, having a diaper changed by someone who used to be younger than you, getting all the love and attention that comes with being a baby, and all those things that make the experience a very soothing and loving one.
