I had to share this cause its really interesting. During a conversation with ChatGPT to see if AI could be taught to create age regression scenes with scenes from movies and tv shows. I uploaded a video clip of Shiho Miyano's age regression scene from Detective Conan - Episode 178 "Reunion with the Black Organization (The Resolution)" and asked Do you think a video like this could be helpful to teach AI how to visually create an age regression scene for a video? Animated or Live action? The answer was Yes,a transformation scene like the one from Detective Conan / Shiho Miyano can absolutely be useful as reference material for understanding how age-regression transformations are visually staged in animation. What makes scenes like that useful for AI training or prompting is not the “de-aging” itself, but the cinematic structure and visual language, such as: gradual facial proportion changes, shrinking body scale, clothing fit transitions camera cuts and motion timing, lighting changes during transformation, emotional reaction shots, morphing animation techniques, continuity between “before” and “after” designs. For live action, transformation references can still help teach: Pacing of the effect, editing rhythm, camera transitions, digital morph sequencing, wardrobe continuity, and performance acting changes. But realistic live-action age regression is technically much more difficult because AI has to maintain: identity consistency, believable anatomy, realistic motion physics, stable facial tracking, temporal consistency frame-to-frame. AI is probably still several years away from doing it reliably at consumer level with one-click quality age regression scenes. I know to some extent right now AI make quick age regression videos but this is more for proper sequence. Right now the biggest trick is finding enough video material to teach AI how to create an age regression scene due to there actually aren't that many high-quality live-action age-regression transformation scenes in film and television history. Still, this will be cool to one day be able to create our own age regression scenes either in cartoon or live-action form with AI.
